Sleeper 13

As a child he was smuggled to the Middle East from his London home, to be trained as one of the most elite insurgent soldiers of his generation.
For years he was forced to do things no child should do, for a cause he couldn't believe in.
But while his brothers were preparing to kill, he was looking for a way out.
Now, on the eve of the deadliest coordinated terrorist attacks Europe has ever seen, he'll finally get his chance.
He will break free and hunt down those responsible for making him a monster.
He must draw on all his training, all of his deadly skills to survive.
He is Sleeper 13.

This book is tipped as one of the greatest thriller releases for 2018 and I can totally understand why. A group Jihad soldiers, trained to stay hidden and prepare deathly attacks. Living lives that look normal on the outside while making their plans. It is happening for real and it scares a lot of people.
The guys in this book are clearly well trained and working with a certain truth. The truth they have learned during their training. Even Aydin, or Talatashar as he is known in his group, shares these views and does not show remorse about what they are supposed to do. His goal is to free himself from the group and he rules not much from the idea. This makes it hard to feel little sympathy for him even though he is on the run and helping the good guys.
On the other side is Rachel Cox and MI5 agent who has been collecting information on this cell for a long time. Just as much as me as a reader she is trying to look for humanity and redemption for Aydin. I cannot imagine though that with the way she works she is allowed to continue working for an intelligence service. She was the lighter side in the story filled with action though.
