There goes April..!

April reads

Well that was April. I said goodbye to my old job and had some time off before I start my new job on May 6th. It is crazy and I am a bit nervous about it. April has been busy. There was the readathon, Flowerparade, a trip to the least romantic hotel in the country and some theatre visits.

I read a LOT of books this month and am way ahead on my Goodreads challenge. I am probably going to read less though the upcoming months so that is perfectly fine. My commute is going to be a bit longer and I usually listen to an audiobook during the commute so it might not be to bad.

I continued with the Jasper Fforde books and they are hilarious. I also read The Summer Guest by Justin Cronin which I really enjoyed but there were some 1 star reads too. I guess that is the pitfall when you look for short reads for a readathon. The good things is that I read 6 books from my Unread Pile of Books. So with 15 of those I am pretty nice on track to get to 40 too.

I am currently being very overwhelmed with the idea of May being there and all this new things starting and having this feeling that my agenda is simply full and getting a bit tired in advance already. Do you ever get such a mood? Please send some tips that work for you to deal with 'new life' stress!

Good luck with your new job! I am such an audiobook convert, they really make the commute fly by and I'm fitting in so many extra books. I'm not very good at new life stress, I usually have a few panic attacks and soldier on and then it turns out fine in the end!
