Dewey's 24 Hour #Readathon April 2015!

  1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
The first few hours. I was at the flower parade with family and though it was beautiful and fun I wanted to read badly.
  2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
I liked Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix though it was not the best book to read in the middle of the night.
  3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
Not for the organization of the read-a-thon. I would like to as the organization of the flower parade to not move it again!!
  4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
For me the reading. And wow for the number of readers and the way everything still seemed to run smooth. AND YAY for the CHEERLEADERS. They had a huge group of people to cheer for and I saw them everywhere
  5. How many books did you read?
I finished two full books during the 24 hours. I finished the last 170 pages of the book I was reading when it started and read a good part of a new book in the last hours
  6. What were the names of the books you read?
    Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix/
The Strange Library by Haruki Murakami
  7. Which book did you enjoy most?
I really had a laugh over Horrorstör
  8. Which did you enjoy least?
The book I was still reading. Church of Marvels. It was not so entertaining and it took me way to long to finish it up
  9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?
I was not officially signed up but usually take some time to go around and cheer for people. I noticed that my brain was not up to it though. But having people cheering for you while reading really works motivating so I will try to be better next time!
  10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
Depending on the date I will for sure participate again. Probably as a reader but maybe sign up as a cheerleader for a change.

What a great readathon it was!
And you did read a lot. I'm curious for your thoughts about the book by Murakami. It's in Spanish too, but I'm not sure if I want to read it.
Kisses!!
