It's Monday! What are You Reading! is a weekly hosted by Sheila over at Book Journey. This weekly is meant to keep you people updated on what I read the last week and what I am planning to read the upcoming week.
I had a normal work week but the other half in the house has two weeks free because he worked so much overtime in the last year. This means I have to get up alone while he still sleeps which is bad in winter when I do not want to get up. The good thing though is that when I get home dinner is ready and the house is clean. In the evening I do find I would love to do nothing and that is what I pretty much did. I finished The Splendour Falls by Susanna Kearsley and Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. Both books were great reads in their own way.
I am currently reading Een man die Ove heet by Fredrick Backman for my book group on Friday.
As I have been reading a lot for Jazz Age January I neglected my review books which means I have to start and catch up for my February books. Next up are The Deepest Secret by Carla Buckley and Wake by Anna Hope.
What are your next reads?

Can't wait to read your thoughts on The Splendour Falls!
ReplyIt is so difficult for me to get up and go to work every Friday while my husband lingers at home. I know, I know, he works 40 hours in 4 days while I spread my hours out over 5, but still....
ReplyI've got Wake to read, hopefully soon. Hope you enjoy your reading this week. I keep seeing good things about Susanna Kearsley's writing, an author I'd like to try one day.
ReplyNot sure when the review for The Splendour Falls will run yet Mel ;) so patience.
ReplyKearsley is a pretty safe choice Lindsay. I have been enjoying all her books so far.
Both of your books coming up look great! I am going to look into those two. :)
ReplyLoving the cover for The Splendour Falls - I keep being drawn back to it. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyI have every one of Susanna Kearsley's books but have not read any of them.
ReplyMy son actually loves them because of the settings.
Have a wonderful week, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

It is fun to come home at night and do nothing, I agree! I could read and blog all evening half the time if I had the chance... hope your reads are good this week. Jazz Age January sounds fun...
