On a cold and snowy night in 1910, Ursula Todd is born, the third child of a wealthy English banker and his wife. Sadly, she dies before she can draw her first breath. On that same cold and snowy night, Ursula Todd is born, lets out a lusty wail, and embarks upon a life that will be, to say the least, unusual. For as she grows, she also dies, repeatedly, in any number of ways. Clearly history (and Kate Atkinson) have plans for her: In Ursula rests nothing less than the fate of civilization.
Beautiful title and very interesting synopsis. This is no in my usual comfort zone but I am still very much attracted to this book. And I am not sure why. Still have a bit to wait for it to be released though. But I am very curious about this book and what other people will say on it once it is released.

ReplyThanks for stopping by my WW!
I've read one Kate Atkinson book (Behind the Scenes at the Museum) and have always meant to read more. This one sounds really intriguing!

ReplyI can't decide if this sounds fascinating or pretentious. Either way, I like the cover. Enjoy!
