My first week at work after the holiday is done and it was crazy. I was glad I did not have to many other have to's so I could relax with a book in the evenings.
The upcoming weekend I will participate in Dewey's 24 hour read-a-thon, I am really looking forward to this. It is the second time I will participate and though I got the feeling I was more a cheerleader and less of a reader during the other one I did sign up as a reader again and took the Monday off from work to recover.
Last week I read A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray and A Thousand Pardons by Jonathan Dee

I am currently reading De sleutel tot het familigeheim by Luize Valente.

Upcoming books are still from the pile which is slowly getting smaller and is not threatening to kill me in my sleep no more. There are some off the small books planned for the read-a-thon and I am going to read The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender for my book group.

ReplyI wish I could participate in the readalong too - but alas, it's going to be a busy weekend. Hope you enjoy your reads this week :-)

ReplyGoodluck with the readathon, I am still thinking of whether I will do it or not. I am having troubles with reading lately, I am trying to keep up though. I am still busy reading the classics spin! I would have and should have finished long ago, but yeah...
ReplyI have a few of those on my TBR list but I haven't had a chance to get to them yet. What did you think of A Great and Terrible Beauty? I tried to read it several years ago but ended up not finishing it.
