Top Ten Tuesday: New to me authors I read in 2013

top ten buttonTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly hosted by The Broke and Bookish. Every week the girls from the Broke and Bookish come up with a subject and I will try to find 10 results.

This weeks topic is new to me authors I read in 2013. This is actually a hard one. I read so many new to me authors this year and actually like a lot of the books I read. I decided to make two lists of five.

Debut authors
Claire King
Graeme Simsion
Tom Winter
Jason Mott
Lori Nelson Spielman

Authors with one or more books out before 2013
Andrew Buckley
Kelly Cozy
Elizabeth Joy Arnold
Jolene Stockman
Carolyn Jess-Cooke

Yay for Graeme Simsion and Jason Mott! I totally forgot about Elizabeth Joy Arnold, The Book of Secrets was quite the riveting read! :)

I'll echo Lianne comment above -- the three she mentioned are all authors that I read and loved in 2013! Graeme Simsion is on my list this week too -- and I agree, it was so difficult to narrow it down to just 10! :)

Jason Mott was new to me this year, too, though I had mixed feelings about The Returned. Great list!

I didn’t know that Elizabeth Joy Arnold had a book out before Book of Secrets! Or, at least that’s the book I’m assuming you read this year. I loved that one!

I love these lists, as I've said a million of times!

I have also read a lot of new to me authors this year; every year I find new authors that I love, so it's great.
I have only read The life list, as you know, and I liked it very much!
