HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
So last year was really busy and I could not really keep up with blogging or reading. In November I finally caught up with my challenge being 5 books behind for over half a year by then. I hope things will be different this year but I did decide to make some changes.
I will try to keep a schedule of at least three posts a week. Posting two weeklies, It's Monday! What are you reading and Wishlist Wednesday. I like to participate in both these weeklies as they introduce me to new titles and make me realize how many books are still on my wish list.
I will try to post at least one review a week. This can both be new releases or backlist books When I have read more books or a few books released in the same week there might be more reviews. I am going to try and write a monthly recap on the last day of the month and I am going to write a new post 'The Book or..?'. As a lot of books are made into movies or plays and I actually see a lot of them I thought it was fun to compare them sometimes. These posts will be irregular.
I have been very terrible in commenting and visiting other blogs last year and I am going to make an effort to be better about this.
So that are my blog plans!
Now my reading... Last year I had to struggle to end up with 100 books at the end of December. Ignoring a few books I wanted to read because they where simply to big. This year I plan to concentrate on those. With an average of one review a week and still having a few extra reviews from books I read last year I decided to set my challenge on 52 books for this year and finally have time to read the Outlander series, Pillars of the Earth and the Complete Stories of Sherlock Holmes. 2015 is going to be about the big books, the back list books I still have piled up somewhere and getting a new bookcase to fit them all in. I will be reviewing new releases if I run into interesting titles but they will not be the most important part of my reading.
Other plans for this year?
There are a lot of interesting developments at work and I hope I can learn a lot of new fun things there.
I just got a new kitchen at the beginning of December and I am planning to use it... a lot. Might have to review some cookbooks.
What are your plans for 2015?

Write reactiesI don't have any major plans for 2015 except for keeping up with blogging as much as I can, reading tons, and trying not to worry about it all too much. Hope you enjoy your new kitchen, and happy new year!
ReplyHappy new year, Ciska. I also struggle to keep my blogs going. Making firm plans should help!
ReplyNew kitchen! That sounds like fun. I read like a maniac in December and managed to hit my Goodreads goal, but other things suffered. I've gone back and forth on how often to post, but it seems like three posts per week works best for me too -- it's a good number to write, and then I can still keep up on comments and visiting other blogs. Happy 2015!
ReplyOur blogging resolutions sound very similar! I'd say that, every year I aim to be more 'present' on my blog and visiting/commenting on others - though the last several months I haven't been able to comment on Wordpress blogs, no idea why - and every year something happens (life, usually!) to mess it up. But it's good for me to keep setting that goal, or I get slack.
ReplyAny chance you'll post photos of your new kitchen? I love seeing renos etc.!
Happy new year, Ciska! Happy reading, too :D
GREAT resolutions!!!
ReplyENJOY your new kitchen.

ReplyAlso, I don't know if you've seen my tweets or anything recently (I'm a bit behind myself with the blogosphere atm), but I changed urls recently (new year = new domain, hehehe) :)
