Wishlist Wednesday: The Dissection of Murder, Felicity Young

Wishlist Wednesday is a weeklies hosted by Pen to Paper. As I have enough wishes when it comes to books I decided to join this weekly and tell you about them. I am obviously curious about the books on your wishlist too so feel free to leave a message.

The Dissection of Murder Felicity Young cover

At the turn of the twentieth century, London's political climate is in turmoil, as women fight for the right to vote. Dody McCleland has her own battles to fight. As England's first female autopsy surgeon, she must prove herself as she also proves that murder treats everyone equally...
After a heated women's rights rally turns violent, an innocent suffragette is found murdered. When she examines the body, Dody is shocked to realise that the victim was a friend of her sister - fuelling her determination to uncover the cause of the protester's suspicious death.
For Dody, gathering clues from a body is often easier than handling the living - especially Chief Detective Inspector Matthew Pike. Pike is looking to get to the bottom of this case but has a hard time trusting anyone - including Dody. Determined to earn Pike's trust and to find the killer, Dody will have to sort through real and imagined secrets. But if she's not careful, she may end up on her own examination table

Oww two of my favorite genres combined is usually a fun read for me. Historical fiction and crime. I really like the cover of this one too. The second book has just been released and therefore the series caught my eye and I added the first one to my shelves to have a proper start.

I don't read any of the two genres that much but I've been looking to read historical fiction more. :)

Ooh, sounds kind of like "Bones" in the early 20th century! I hope it's as good as it sounds!

I like crime books but I'm not big on historical fiction. I think I have a hard time connecting with books set in older times. Hope you are able to get your hands on this!

This sounds like fun - I'm not well into Historical Fiction but I do like the idea of reading about the first female autopsy surgeon so will keep an eye out for it.
