Bookish come up with a subject and I will try to find 10 results combined with that weeks topic.
This weeks topic.. FAVORITE BOOKCOVERS.. for books I have read. I am a total cover junkie and can actually be persuaded to read a book if it has a very pretty cover. This weeks difficulty had more to do with the overflow of pretty book covers on my shelf and now I had to choose ten.
Cover for book I end up loving just as much as their pretty cover
Death, The Devil and The Goldfish by Andrew Buckley
The Jelly Bean Crisis by Jolene Stockman
The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty
The Time Keeper by Micth Albom
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman
Half Blood Blues by Esi Edugyan

Book covers that fooled me but still have pretty covers
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie Alan Bradley
The Orchardist by Amanda Coplin
A Man of Parts by David Lodge

Write reacties'Half Blood Blues' reminds me of Michael Chabon's 'Telegraph Avenue' (which almost made my list). 'The Jelly Bean Crisis' looks cool although I'd be tempted on the title alone!
ReplyCovers to my own heart
The Time Keeper is sooo pretty.

I absolutely love these covers, Ciska! I'm almost ashamed to say I haven't read any of these books though.

ReplyI remember seeing The Jelly Bean Crisis on another of your Top Ten lists - I really want to read that one! The cover is hard to ignore too.
I haven't seen that edition of The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie before, but I love it! I have the book but haven't read it yet. I also have A Discovery of Witches, Half-Blood Blues and The Night Circus (different covers though) and The Light Between Oceans. I just love the cover of Hugo... but I watched the movie and I'm not sure I want to read the book now, if that makes sense.
