Vitriol the Hunter, Billy Martin cover
They own the night... they yearn for the day! As Basilika City's last great hope, Vitriol stands as the only force that can stop Lord Barthus and his heinous vampire regime from overtaking the city!

Billy Martin was born on June 15th 1981 in Annapolis Maryland. Martin is better known as the guitarist from the band Good Charlotte but has had various creative outings besides making music. He is married and has two children.

The story of this comic is very basic. There is a good guy and some bad guys and they fight all night every night. The bad guys are very creepy though I must admit Vitriol himself is not very charming either even as his intentions seem to be good as he takes a lot of burden on his shoulders. I would have liked to know more about his back story. There are some indication to what happened but I think the whole "how it came to this" story would be interesting too.
The graphics in this book are brilliant. There are so many funny details hidden that you really have to pay attention to what is drawn. I certainly had some great laughs over some of the drawings. The people vary in looks depending on what they are. Monsters are real monsters with big square weird looking faces and black eyes. Vitriol himself has a lot of square in his looks too and big black eyes to show he is not your average human while humans are drawn very fragile compared to the monsters. In some of the scenes it is easy to recognize who is the weak one.
